Report: California Has Six Extra Representatives Because Illegals Are Counted in Census

Decades ago, the relatively small number of unauthorized residents in the U.S. meant that including them in the Census did not materially change the number of representatives each state was allocated. But today there are between 12 and 14 million people living here illegally, and the number is rising.
As a result, states with large numbers of undocumented immigrants gain the advantage of additional representation in Congress. Based on the 2010 Census, the following states gained representatives because of the number of people illegally there:
California: +6 representatives (11.3% of its current representatives)
As an aside the subject of illegal immigration and the need to close the border is brought up in a podcast featuring Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Elon Musk. It is a lengthy interview (2+ hrs). In spite of the length I highly recommend it, a discussion between two insightful men. Tulsi Gabbard comes on towards the end with a very good question and comment.
THE FACTS: An article published on Monday by the Center for Immigration Studies examined a major example of how Biden has exercised his parole authority for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans.
Each month, U.S. Customs and Border Protection discloses how many people from these four countries were allowed to enter the country. On Jan. 26, the agency reported 327,000 were vetted and authorized for travel. There were more than 67,000 Cubans, 126,000 Haitians, 53,000 Nicaraguans and 81,000 Venezuelans.
The Center for Immigration Studies article says CBP approved flights that brought 320,000 to the United States last year. The author, Todd Bensman, learned they came to 43 airports but the government refused to divulge which ones, citing an exemption under the Freedom of Information Act for law enforcement-sensitive information.
The migrants are not coming in from “parts unknown,” as Trump charged. CBP vets each one for eligibility and publishes the number of airport arrivals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
Social media posts, including one by Elon Musk's, charge that the administration is doing this to bring in voters.
Can you imagine if the Colorado DMV had a staff as efficient as CPB. 327,000 illegal aliens were vetted and authorized according to their statistics. That is 1258 individuals per day working 52 weeks per year and if they work an 8 hr day with no lunch hr that would be: 157 per hour.
Now you might ask what does this vetting consist of?
According to the Brennan Center for Justice:
"The U.S. visa vetting system is one of the world’s toughest. Applicants’ biographic data, photographs, and fingerprints are collected and screened against a range of national security databases that contain millions of entries and include classified information from federal, state, local, and foreign governments. Applicants must provide voluminous documentation to verify their identities and backgrounds. Immigrant visa applicants – those applying to stay permanently in the U.S. – are generally subject to more scrutiny than temporary visa applicants, including a medical examination and other screenings."

Oh wait, they don't need visas or ID's according to the Slo Joe Administration. That might help to speed up the process.

Can you imagine a Congress bitching and moaning about immigration, but unwilling to do anything about it? Oh,wait, they sort of did.
Last night, Super Joe Biden called out the Republicans for killing the bipartisan border bill, which would provide 1,500 more border security officers, 100 more immigration judges, 4,300 more asylum officers, and 100 more high-tech drug detection machines and give the president authority to shut down the border when the number of migrants reaches a certain level.
Why didn't the House pass that bill, rather than do absolutely nothing?
Once again,
HR2 which deals specifically with the southern border, was passed by the House, May 2023 and sits on Schumer's desk, still waiting to be brought to the floor of the Senate.

Why would anyone who want's the flow of illegals to stop be ok with allowing 5000 a day under that garbage bill? Doing "somethingf" isn't any good if you allow 5000 a day before you decide to close the door.
